Pakistan envoy launches a new app ‘HumWattan’ for community

RIYADH — Pakistan Ambassador Khan Hasham Bin Saddique launched a new mobile App “HumWattan” that would provide the Pakistani community direct access to various services offered by Embassy.

The app was introduced in a simple but well attended ceremony held at the Chancery Hall. The community members present at the event appreciated the efforts of the Embassy for improving the service delivery and access to information.

Community Welfare Attaché Shakoor Sheikh presented the app in a brief introduction and also demonstrated the various functions of “HumWattan” app. The app is available at Android Play Store and will be soon be available to iPhone users.

The app provides detailed information about services provided by various wings of the Embassy. It has a comprehensive complaint management system where community members will be able to track progress of their complaints. The app will also form a means of accountability in provision of services.

The users can also report any incident of importance to the Embassy using this app. The app doesn’t require any registration for normal services. However, registration is mandatory for complaints and incident reporting so that users can track progress. The services through app will be provided under the relevant rules and regulations.

Community members appreciated the initiative of the Embassy and dubbed it as another gift by Ambassador Khan Hasham Bin Saddique for the Pakistani community. The envoy will be leaving the Kingdom shortly after completing his term.

The Ambassador launched the app by touching the launch icon. He lauded the efforts of Community Welfare Section for developing the app and described it as an important step in provision of information regarding Embassy services at the finger tips of the community.

Further, he hoped that the app will successfully complete it’s test phase and mature in the coming weeks. The Ambassador emphasized that it is the mission of the Embassy to provide world class services to the community as envisaged by Prime Minister Imran Khan and the government. — SG
