RIYADH — Nadeem Babar smashed another century in the ongoing Amex Cricket Tournament. This was 212th century of his career which spans over 30 years in the Kingdom.

The AMEX tournament is sponsored by American Express Saudi Arabia and is being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).

Alkharaj League

In Alkharaj League KFSH Blues registered a win over L’usine by 45 runs. KFSH tallied 322. Nadeem Babar’s epic form continued as he smashed second century and third consecutive 50 plus score in the event. He scored 118 off 111 balls. Adeel (66) and Nasir Abbasi (56) batted well. Mubashir took 3 wickets. In reply, L’usine was restricted to 277. Talal (60), Tauseef (58) and Rustam (41) were the main contributors. Usman, Malik and Adnan claimed 2 wickets each.

Pakistan Falcons lost to Lahore Badshah by 4 wickets. Falcons scored 308. Omer fell to nervous 90s as he made 96. Tauqeer scored 46 and Shuakat 40. Hisham was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets. Mudasir took 3 and Musayab 2. Lahore Badshah got to the target in 38 overs. Yasir scored second consecutive ton as he smashed 103. Hisham remained unbeaten on 73 and Mudasir hit 39. Touqeer took 2 wickets.

Riyadh Aces beat Sinmar by 6 wickets. Sinmar posted 273-9. Hazim top scored with 73, Riyaz made 42 and Zain 39. Owais took 3 wickets, while Shazaib and Faman claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, Riyadh Aces chased the target in 33.4 overs. Owais and Irshad led the challenge with 83 and 82, respectively. Umar (48) and Zohaib (37) also batted well.

Al-Harbi lost a thriller to Samacom by just 4 runs. Samacom scored 366-9. Amjad smashed 106, Raja hit 77 and Zaka 74. Salman and Shahid grabbed 2 wickets each. Al-Harbi managed 362 in reply. Salman and Mohib scored brilliant centuries. Salman hammered 126 and Mohib 101. Asif (40) and Samiullah (44) also contributed. Zaka and Amjad picked up 3 wickets each and Raja got 2.

Diriyah League

In Diriyah League, KAMS defeated Riyadh Thunders by 8 wickets. Amir (50), Ramiz (49) Bilawal (38) helped Thunders to 179-7. Zaheer claimed 4-34 and Himayat picked 2 wickets. KAMS chased down the target in 18 overs. Ikhlaq top scored with 77 not out. Salman and Himayat supported with 31 and 35, respectively.

Phoenix downed Al-Rifai by 22 runs. Phoenix collected 193. Haseeb and Subayyal smashed fiftes, making 66 and 68, respectively. Shehryar grabbed 3 wickets. Al-Rifai scored 171 in reply. Hassan (39), Aftab (34) and Rahul (30) batted well. Antar and Subayyal took 2 wickets each.

Shadin Bangla thrashed Royce White Star Blue by 8 wickets. Royce was bowled out for 64. Raju grabbed 4-26 and Jane and Mohsin took 2 wickets each. Haseeb top scored with 18. Atiq and Babu got to the target for Bangla in 6.1 overs, scoring 26 runs each. — SG
