HE prestigious Swiss watch brand OMEGA has launched with its partner Al-Hussaini Trading Co. the new Seamaster Diver 300M collection at the Kingdom Center in Riyadh. Admired for its innovative design and ocean technology, the original timepiece in 1993 signalled OMEGA’s triumphant return to the world of diving watches. Now, the latest evolution of the famous timepiece has been unveiled, with a full makeover in every detail.

To celebrate the occasion, a number of VIP guests attended the event last Nov. 15, including OMEGA representatives and board members of Al-Hussaini Trading Co.

Located within Kingdom Center on Olaya Street in Riyadh, the OMEGA boutique is a stylish, modern space that reflects the professionalism and expertise that the global Swiss brand is renowned for.

For this unique event, the store was transformed with decoration inspired by the ocean. This included live fish in stylish aquariums and projections of wave-like special effects. Customers were able to explore a comprehensive selection of OMEGA timepieces and products in an atmosphere of total comfort.

OMEGA’s new Seamaster Diver 300M was at the centre of the celebrations. Each of the 14 new models is well and truly equipped for days in the city or life beneath the waves. New details include ceramic dials with laser-engraved waves, as well as ceramic bezels with their diving scales in Ceragold or white enamel. Each piece is also driven by a Master Chronometer movement that is certified at the highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic resistance in the watchmaking industry.

For divers, one of the Diver 300M’s most important details has always been its helium escape valve. For the new models, the valve has been given a conical shape and has been patented with an ingenious new technology. Essentially, the update now means that if the helium escape valve is accidentally opened underwater, the watch is guaranteed to still remain water-resistant (up to 5 bar). — SG
