Riyadh gears up for live music festival

RIYADH — International stars and the cream of the Arab music world are set to perform for thousands of fans as part of a fan festival to celebrate the first staging of the ‘Saudia’ Ad Diriyah E-Prix.

Set against the stunning backdrop of UNESCO heritage site of Ad Diriyah, the Formula E race is the centerpiece of a three-day festival of music, entertainment, culture and racing action.

As part of that, as many as six major artists will be performing each night of the festival, with two renowned artists setting Ad Diriyah alight on Dec. 13, 14 and after the race itself on Dec. 15.

The names are yet to be revealed but organizers say that fans should book early.

Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki AlFaisal Al Saud, Vice-Chair of the Saudi Arabia General Sports Authority, said: “The ‘Saudia’ Ad Diriyah E-Prix is set to be the hottest ticket in town for so many reasons, from breath-taking electric racing, to entertainment, to culture.”

Prices start from SR395 and are available from www.ad-diriyah-eprix.com, with fans able to watch all the incredible action from the seated grandstands, have access to the E-Village packed with race-related fun and a second entertainment area filled with cultural activities and fun for all the family. And, ticket holders will get access to the post-race concert.
