Tabuk —
The Council of Ministers on Tuesday rejected the politicization of the humanitarian case of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi that was referred by the Public Prosecution to the Saudi Judiciary for consideration and pronouncing judgment.

The weekly session of the Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in Tabuk on Tuesday, thanked all countries and organizations that welcomed the statement issued by the Public Prosecution on the results of the investigations and the measures taken by it in connection with the case.

Minister of Media Awwad Al-Awwad said that the Cabinet noted that the Public Prosecution’s efforts confirmed the State’s keenness to follow the Shariah laws and allow justice to take its course.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said on Tuesday that claims that Crown Prince gave the order to kill Khashoggi were false.

“We in the Kingdom know that such allegations about the Crown Prince have no basis in truth and we categorically reject them, whether through leaks or not,” Jubeir was quoted as saying in an interview to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper.

The Cabinet also decided that the Ministry of Housing, in coordination with other government agencies, will register their real estate rental contracts through the Ijar electronic system.

The ministry has directed the parties involved to make monthly payment of real estate rent.

It has also decided that electronic payments for rental services can be made through Sadad payment system as in the case of payments for other government services.
