MANAMA — The King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, paid a visit on Saturday to the pavilion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) at the 5th edition of the Bahrain International Air Show 2018.
During the visit, the King and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the latest projects and developments in the air transport industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He also viewed a mock up of the new King Abdulaziz International Airport that is currently going through soft opening stages.
The Saudi Pavilion had a number of companies that included Riyadh Airport Company, Saudia Arabian Airlines and Taqnia Space Company.
The pavilion was visited by a large number of visitors, which included businessmen and investors in the civil aviation sector from various Arab and foreign countries.
GACA aimed through its participation in the exhibition with a number of Saudi companies operating within the civil aviation sector was to introduce its investments, various projects in the construction, development and the modernization of airports. This in addition to the steps the aviation sector have toward the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the important directions GACA has taken in its privatization efforts of this vital economic sector. — SG
