October 23, 2018

RIYADH — Minister of Media Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad described the ongoing second edition of the Future Investment Initiative 2018 as a mammoth economic event that highlights the Kingdom’s status both as a political heavyweight and as a great economic force that is keen on making investments and attracting international companies, businessmen and financiers from all over the world.

In a press statement, he highlighted the intense efforts being exerted by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to rejuvenate the Saudi economy and to duly take its prestigious global place, saying that it would have a positive impact not only on the Saudi economy but also on the world economy.

Al-Awwad said the event has a strong presence of international expertise through signing of investment partnerships. “The forum is identifying emerging sectors that will shape the future of the global economy in the coming decades,” he said while noting that the event will be contributing to build a network of key influencing partners in the global arena.

He said the keenness of investors and their search for investment opportunities in the Kingdom come because of the main attractions of investments, which help to make deals between investors and large companies, in line with the Vision 2030, which focuses more on private sector investments.

Al-Awwad stressed the importance of FII on the future of the Saudi investment, which is attended by more than 150 speakers, including senior politicians, economists, investors, businessmen and financiers representing more than 140 entities and large companies. — SG/SPA
