The Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports) is participating in GITEX Technology Week 2018 in Dubai. The Saudi Pavilion organized by “Saudi Exports” includes 34 national companies specialized in Communication and Information Technology. Through this participation, “Saudi Exports” is aiming to promote national industries and services, open new export channels for Saudi companies in the markets, and complement the role of “Saudi Exports” in promoting Saudi products and services and increase their market share in international markets, thereby enhancing the contribution of the telecommunication sector to the GDP.

“Saudi Exports” participation in GITEX is considered the fifth time in a row, reflecting the growth witnessed in KSA’s Information and Communication Technology exports in the recent years. Electronics for cellular networks or for other wireless networks account for 40% of KSA’s exports in the Information and Communication Technology sector. KSA also exports various products such as parts and accessories of automatic data-processing machines or for other machines, and parts of telephone sets for cellular networks or for other wireless networks, and electronic integrated circuits as processors and controllers.

Saudi Exports employs all its capabilities to improve the efficiency of the export environment, overcome the obstacles that exporters may encounter, raise the awareness of export practices and develop human resources in the export field. Furthermore, it is working to raise the export readiness of the targeted facilities through providing export readiness assessment services and consulting to improve the export capabilities of the targeted facilities. Saudi Exports also assists facilities to discover appropriate export opportunities and markets by preparing market access manuals and market studies on demand. Saudi Exports contributes to the introduction of Saudi products to targeted audience through participation in international exhibitions, as well as it facilitates linking exporters with buyers and potential partners through trade missions and bilateral meetings in the margins of international exhibitions. Saudi Exports’ work comes as an interpretation to the 2030 Kingdom Vision, and in response to the aspirations of the wise guidance to diversify the sources of income for the national economy. — SG
