Cisco Saudi Arabia appoints new MD

Cisco, the worldwide leader in technology, announced the appointment of Salman Abdulghani Faqeeh as Managing Director for Cisco Saudi Arabia replacing Haytham Abdulrahman AlOhali, Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

In his new position, Salman Faqeeh will be spearheading Cisco’s operations in Saudi Arabia, focusing towards the vision and strategy of digital transformation agenda in the Kingdom, and leading plans and programs across various sectors in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and National Transformation Program.

Salman brings with him a wealth of experience from his diverse roles and positions. He has previously implemented a nationwide vision and strategy that provides value to Cisco customers and partners, making him highly suitable and qualified to lead the company and become a leader for customers, partners and employees in particular.

Faqeeh has more than 16 years of experience in the field of Information Technology. He joined Cisco Saudi Arabia in August 2006 and has held several positions, during which he has managed the most important clients for the company and built strong relationships with various sectors, including Defense, Healthcare and Energy in recent times. Faqeeh managed and led the Services business for more than 5 years, starting November 2012. He also served as Cisco Operations Manager where he led and managed the public sector in the Kingdom. Prior to joining the Cisco team, Salman has played a pivotal role in managing Microsoft business with the Telecom Operators in Saudi Arabia, starting with the Saudi Telecom Company (STC), Mobily, the Ministry for Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC).

Salman holds a bachelor degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). — SG
