October 08, 2018

JEDDAH Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Jeddah-Qasr Al-Sharq commemorated the 88th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in grand style, with an array of events and activities, creating an “unforgettable experience” for guests and visitors of the two hotels. Both hotels were colour-washed in Saudi green, for the interior and the exterior. A huge Saudi flag was unfurled inside the Jeddah Hilton atrium lobby. During the event, a massive cake was presented replicating the map of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, surrounded by palm trees and lobby screens, displaying the Saudi Vision 2030 and the history of the country. Guests arriving at the hotel were welcomed with flowers, Saudi flags and other traditional Saudi delica

cies.

The ceremony was sponsored by Mohammed Al Amry, the General Manager of the Saudi Commission of Tourism and National Heritage of the Makkah region. In his speech, Al Amry highlighted the role of Jeddah Hilton in

the celebration of Saudi National Day.

Al Amry praised the Saudi leaders for driving Saudi Vision 2030 for the diversification of the country’s economy. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to the management team of Jeddah Hilton for supporting and empowering young Saudi men and women.

Kevin Brett, Cluster General Manager of both hotels, said “these two hotels are commemorating this day with love and happiness. We thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed Salman.A thank you is never enough to express our gratitude for what they have achieved for Saudi Arabia. We owe them our deepest gratitude and sincerest prayers.”

Brett thanked Al Amry and the personnel of the Saudi Tourism Authority for their support and presence.

The hotel also warmly welcomed children from the Saudi Social Orphanage and from other orphanages, based in Jeddah, to celebrate the occasion. They joined the cake cutting ceremony and were invited to the Manhattan Sports Diner for an Eat and Treat experience savoring the “best burgers” in the city.

The National Day celebrations concluded with a Saudi-themed night at the roof top Amwaj View, featuring food specialties from different regions of the Kingdom. All the guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner while enjoying a fabulous view of the fireworks and the different activities on the Jeddah Waterfront. — SG
