Some dozens of young Saudi innovators displayed home-made gadgets and products at App World, which was inaugurated by Deputy Emir of Makkah region Prince Abdullah Bin Bandar.

The second edition of the three-day App World is being held under the patronage of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah region, by Jeddah Entrepreneurship Committee (JEC) and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event is line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to promote local talent and innovation.

Some 159 young Saudi male and female innovators are participating in the event by showcasing 132 home-grown projects and ideas in the tourism, entertainment, education, health, culture, sports, media other sectors.

Some 152 local, regional and international companies besides several government agencies are also attending the three-day event.

Prince Abdullah Bin Bandar toured the exhibition and interacted with innovators and enquired about their products.

Panel discussions were held by young developers and innovators to promote their digital ideas.

The event illustrates the Kingdom’s commitment to becoming a regional and global leader in technical innovation, developing both an environment and infrastructure that benefits the nation’s young talent.
