JEDDAH — Pakistan International School–English Section (PISJ-ES) celebrated the 53rd defense day of Pakistan profoundly. According to the statement of Media Coordinator PISJ ES Samina Ansari the program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the national anthem of Pakistan.

The auditorium was filled with enthusiastic students from the senior section along with the school faculty, who were spellbound to receive the venerable guests of the occasion from the ‘Armed Forces of Pakistan’. A smartly outfitted squad of students put on an enthralling ‘Guard of Honor’ to the guests, manifesting the profundity of the scruples of ‘Unity, Faith and Discipline’.

Addressing to the audience, Principal Adnan Nasir, while welcoming the guests, said, “It is the day to pay accolade to the brave sons of our motherland who prefer to perish in the fiery pits of conspiracies but did not let the nation be harmed. More than half a century has passed but the significance of this day has not faded even in the fast-paced modern world solely for the reason that this victory does not merely manifest the chronicles of bravery but underscores many life lessons of loyalty, patriotism, honesty, integrity, faithfulness, unity, discipline and ownership.”

He added, “Amidst all the menacing offshoots of collusions to divide us or weaken from inside, we must keep ourselves steadfast and must not let the sacrifices of our ‘Shuhadas’ and ‘Ghazis’ fritter away. We must realize our responsibilities to set our resolutions on individual level to take our motherland to the zenith of progress and prosperity.”

He advised all the students to focus their genuine attention towards acquiring education to develop sound sense of discipline and sublime character to borne the legacy of our forefathers to the unparalleled level of triumph and success.

Nasir’s inspirational words instilled an air of confidence in the youth and encouraged them to do something for their country with loyalty and patriotism. But what set an aura of ‘ownership’ and ‘pride’ were the enthralling presentations by the officers of Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force. The soulfully moving stories of devotion and sacrifice and statistically phenomenal headways in bringing peace and harmony in our motherland awestruck the spectators. The resilient bond of honor, devotion and pride in ‘Khaaki, Khoon and Khaak ’mesmerized all in attendance and rejuvenated their resolves to stand united in all moments of achievements and trials for their country.

Students presented a meaningful talk, which drew out ‘Inspiration in Retrospection’, highlighting the perspective of not only a fearless warrior but a soft-hearted author, a common man, a passionate artist, a vigorous youth and a great mother of that time which reinvigorated and strengthened the immense love for the country in spectators.

The principal urged every Pakistani to work honestly in whatever capacity they are chosen to serve their country. Their devotedness towards their families, towards their colleagues, subordinates, coworkers and contemporaries will make a big impact in preparing a nation, which is united, disciplined and has faith.

The captivating proceedings of the program came to an end with a group photo of the guests with the students and the principal.
