MAKKAH — The Ministry of Haj and Umrah has said it will start receiving applications for the renewal of licenses of domestic Haj service companies from Sept. 30.

The licenses of all Haj service companies are renewed annually and will terminate with the end of the Haj season each year.

The ministry said the issuance of the new licenses would continue for a month after which no application for renewal would be considered.

The ministry said the local Haj companies would be given official letters to be presented to the Ministry of Commerce and Investment to renew their commercial registration and to include the company’s new address if it so wishes.

It asked the owners of local Haj companies and their directors to present letters proving their clean criminal record and similar letters to the Civil Affairs Department to obtain letters about their civil affairs status.

The ministry said no Haj company or establishment will be given letters to present to the Ministry of Commerce and Investment after Oct. 3.
