Over 33,000 benefit from housing, financing options

Agreements signed for two housing projects in Riyadh

More than 33,000 housing and financing options were announced on Saturday by the Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Development Fund as part of their 9th batch of the Sakani Program for 2018.

With these allotments the number of housing and financing options until the 9th batch this year has exceeded 215,000. These include 74,700 real estate loans, 63,222 free residential plots of land, 2,584 ready housing units, 67,367 housing units under construction, 8,000 ready housing units purchased from the market.

The total number of housing and financing options that have been announced since the beginning of the program in the beginning of 2017 has reached 500,000.

In a press conference here on Saturday, the ministry gave the details about housing options and their geographical distribution.

The batch included 8,300 real estate loans, 5,961 housing units under construction in partnership with real estate developers, 11,211 free of charge residential plots of land.

The ministry also announced 8,000 beneficiaries of ready housing units purchased from the market.

According to the 9th batch data, 5,961 housing units under construction have been allotted in Riyadh region, 2,657 in Makkah region, 5,200 in Asir region, 650 in Tabuk region among others.

The Real Estate Development Fund has provided 2,189 loans in Riyadh, 1,346 in Makkah, 1,015 in the Eastern Province, 724 in Qassim, 706 in Madinah, 609 in Assir, 311 in Najaran, 308 in Hail, 299 in Tabuk, 234 in the Northern Frontier region, 228 in Al-Jouf, 169 in Jazan region among others.

Agreements were signed with two companies to carry out two projects in Riyadh region for 5,590 housing units and 371 housing units for the ministry beneficiaries.
