Hotel de Russie, part of Rocco Forte Hotels, is a luxury five-star hotel located in the heart of Rome. Planned by Giuseppe Valadier in 1814, The Hotel de Russie is part of Rocco Forte Hotels since 2000. Olga Polizzi, Director of Design for Rocco Forte Hotels and sister of Sir Rocco Forte, redesigned the Valadier Suite among many others recently.

“For me, the Valadier Suite says Rome. I tried to continue the Roman feel of the hotel by furnishing the suite with Italian antiques, Roman statues, vibrant colours and furnishings from C&C Milano, who is quintessentially Italian,” Polizzi said. A palette of blues, greys and purples compliments bright oranges and greens brings life and a Roman flair to the rooms. Wallpaper has been used in a few rooms and suites, adding a new and decorative element with Fornasetti motifs and sylvan grey designs by Lewis & Wood. Each room is decorated with a mix of modern pieces and more traditional elements inspired by Roman history and adorned with vibrant cushions made from Zimmer + Rohde fabrics.
