JEDDAH — The hospitality committee of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) announced a project to employ women to park cars of restaurant goers. Chairman of the committee Adil Mekki told Makkah Arabic daily on Tuesday that the project will end the problem of finding parking lots for cars near restaurants by constructing parking complexes in front of restaurants.
“The project will also help employ a number of the qualified women who carry official licenses to park cars,” he said.
The committee said it initiated the project following a complaint by an investor that the municipality has closed his restaurant because of the shortage of car parking space.
