Heera Group donates $142,860 for Kerala flood victims

HYDERBAD, India In a major contribution to the victims of Kerala deluge, the city-based Heera Group has donated one crore rupees ($142,860) to Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.

The donation was made through a check issued in the name of Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund from the account of Heera Group CEO Dr. Nowhera Shaik.

Dr. Nowhera Shaik also donated 100 tons of rice and commissioned a shelter for the disaster-struck children and women. She will soon travel to Kerala to personally supervise the arrangements. — SG
