Makkah emir appreciates services of MoH staff for pilgrims

MAKKAH —
Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah, advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and chairman of the Central Haj Committee, met with Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah and senior ministry officials at his office in Mina on Tuesday. During the meeting, the emir appreciated the great services being rendered by the MoH staff to the Haj pilgrims.

On his part, Al-Rabiah greeted Prince Khaled on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. The minister briefed the emir on the facilities and services being provided by the ministry for the pilgrims. The ministry has readied around 30,000 doctors and health practitioners to offer the best possible health services for the pilgrims. There are 25 hospitals and 135 health centers with a capacity of 5,000 beds in addition to 180 ambulances in Makkah and at the holy sites to serve the pilgrims. The ministry has set up a mobile field hospital to operate between Haj sites, apart from 106 field medical teams.

Meanwhile, the emir received Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Hussayn, head of the Saudi Investigation and Monitoring Commission, at his Mina office on Tuesday. Al-Hussayn briefed the emir on the major activities of the commission.
