Himalaya Herbs offers care tips for healthy hair

August 14, 2018

HIMALAYA Herbs offered a range of hair care tips with back to school. The company stressed on avoiding the use of hair styling products, and to moisturize hair before and after each wash using shampoo and conditioner made from natural ingredients. While most people feel that the use of conditioner is enough to maintain moisture in the hair, hair needs the regular use of oils to keep it healthy and glowing.

Sweating during the summer months causes dandruff and itchy scalp leading to hair fall. Therefore, regularly cleansing of the hair is very important. Do so using a shampoo with natural ingredients such herbs, seed oils etc. Also washing your hair regularly does not mean you do it every day. Washing hair everyday saps it off its natural oils, thus washing every 2- 3 days is recommended for proper regulation of natural oils. Avoid using hot water showers as this makes your hair dry and brittle.

Moreover, eating habits will likely affect your hair. Maintain a healthy balance diet filled with a good mix of vitamin C (citrus fruits), proteins (eggs, chicken), Omega 3 fatty acids (Quinoa, nuts and seeds), iron (dark leafy greens like spinach) and Vitamin A (carrots).

Skin in the teenage years is primarily affected by following hormones like progesterone which regulates sleep, estrogen that keeps skin free of wrinkles, testosterone that regulates oil glands and hair growth.

Himalaya Herbs utilizes natural herbs like neem and turmeric that have been used for ages in keeping skin clear and healthy. Neem has antibacterial properties and aesthetic properties among other benefits and is used to treat skin rashes, acne, allergies, and pimples while turmeric works giving you a healthier scalp. — SG
