SGS provides services to more than 1m pilgrims

SAUDI Ground Services Company (SGS), the leading ground handling services provider of the 27 airports across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, up to August 12, 2018 has served 1,035,109 pilgrims on 4,157 flights and has handled about 1,200,000 pieces of baggage at King Abdulaziz International Airport and Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.

According to King Abdulaziz International Airport statistics, the number of received flights were 2,700 flights with 581,937pilgrims on board, and 687,529 pieces of baggage were handled. While at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, 1,457 flights were served with 453,172 pilgrims on board, and about 486,084 pieces of baggage were handled.

On this occasion, Eng. Omar Najjar, SGS’ CEO, said: "The efforts of SGS and its employees continues to providing best services with a warm human touch, in welcoming and serving the pilgrims, despite the increasing of Hajj flights arriving to Jeddah and Madinah Airports. The operation services have been carried out smoothly by the efforts of all concerned parties to serve the pilgrims.” — SG
