SR10,089 average salaries of Saudis

— The average monthly salary of Saudis has jumped to SR10,089 during the first quarter of 2018, according to the General Authority of Statistics (GaStat).

The authority, in a report covering the labor market during the first three months of the year, said the average salary of the non-Saudis was SR3,768 compared to the fourth quarter of 2017.

The report said salaries of Saudis went up by about two percent from SR9,939 while salaries of expatriates rose up by three percent from SR3,674.

It said the Saudi men were paid SR10,289 while women were paid SR9,230.

The report said the average salary for all the workers in the Kingdom during the first three months of 2018 was SR6,210.

It said the Saudi men working for the government receive monthly salaries of SR11,095 while women are paid SR10,289.

The report said the average monthly salary of a Saudi citizen in the private sector is SR7,197 while the non-Saudis are paid SR3,899.

It said the highest monthly salary of the Saudis in the age group of 50-54 years is SR14,251 while the expatriates who have crossed the age of 65 are being paid SR6,189.

GaStat, on the other hand, said there are more than 361,000 workers in the Kingdom who have crossed the age of 60.

It said the expatriates constituted about 320,000 of them representing about 89 percent while the Saudis were 41,055 representing about 11 percent only.
