Aden — The Yemeni National Army has made a new field progress in Nahm directorate, east of Sanaa, following battles with Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

A Yemeni military source said in a statement to the website of the Yemeni Ministry of Defense “September 26” that the army liberated the ranges of Saleh Ali and Al-Rubah and a local valley in Nahm.

He said the fighting resulted in the death of dozens of members of Houthi militias. Many Houthi rebels were arrested.

The source said that Arab coalition fighters launched a series of raids targeting the positions and reinforcements of the militias in the front.

The Yemeni National Army also announced the killing of 10 field leaders of Iranian-backed Houthi militias during the past two days in battles in Al-Malajem front in Baidha governorate.

According to “September 26” website, which published the names of the killed Houthi leaders, the battles resulted in the liberation of large areas of more than 50 square kilometers extending from Al-Qanza Aqaba, through Al-Juraibat and the asphalt line to the area of Fadha in Al-Malajem directorate.

Meanwhile, Yemeni Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Yamani discussed in a telephone conversation with British Minister of State for the Middle East at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Alistair Burt the current situation in Yemen, especially humanitarian aid to Hodeidah.

According to the Yemen News Agency, the Yemeni Foreign Minister confirmed that if the port of Hodeidah in western Yemen remains under the control of the Iranian-backed Houthi militias, it will pose a great threat to the security and stability of the countries of the region and the world, as they receive weapons and missiles from Iran.

“It is no longer possible to remain silent about the threats of Houthi militias in Bab Al-Mandab area and the Red Sea,” he said.

Meanwhile, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued to distribute food baskets to needy families displaced from Alhah, Bait Qaroush and Bait Al-Tawaher in Al-Jishah Al-Yamaniya of Hodeidah governorate. — Agencies
