Chief of Staff visits soldiers in southern region

RIYADH — Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili on Sunday visited the armed forces personnel stationed in the southern regions of Jazan, Najran and Khamees Mushayt. His visit also included hospitals where the soldiers have been admitted after sustaining injuries in the Decisive Storm and Restoration of Hope military operations to support legitimacy in Yemen.

Al-Ruwaili conveyed the Eid greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, to the soldiers. Al-Ruwaili visited soldiers who are convalescing at hospitals in the southern regions in order to offer them greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. He assured them that they will become victorious in the near future.

“You are the heroes of the armed forces who stand as an impregnable wall against all those who seek to harm the land of the Two Holy Mosques as well our faith, our gains, and the security and stability of the region in general,” he said.

Al-Ruwaili also visited the soldiers who have been admitted to the Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh to convey Eid greetings. He lauded their great efforts and sacrifices in defense of the nation and maintaining the security and stability of the borders. He prayed for their speedy recovery. On their part, the soldiers pledged their readiness even to sacrifice their life for the sake of the security of the nation. — SG/SPA
