YTMG bids farewell to founding patron

RIYADH — Young Talent Musical Group (YTMG) bid a grand farewell to their outgoing patron Asif Khan (Pasha) has been in the Kingdom for more than 4 decades. The farewell was held at Paradise Restaurant that was highly attended by the YTMG team.

Mir Mohsin Ali was the chief guest on this occasion that was presided over by President Mirza Omer Baig. Syed Sayeed conducted the proceedings.

The farewell began with the recitation of verses of Holy Qur’an by Abdul Basith followed by welcome address by Omer. who outlined the activities of YTMG and thanked Asif Khan for leading YTMG as a patron for many years.

He added that Asif Khan would be remembered for his dedication and service to the community and humanity.

Number of speakers praised Asif for his outstanding services for the humanity. Those who spoke on this occasion were Mir Mohsin Ali, Mohammed Jabbar, president, NRI Forum, Syed Sayeed, Asif Singer and others.

Speaking on this occasion, Asif Khan advised YTMG to sustain unity among the troupe, and entertain Indian community with verve. He thanked the community and said that in his 4 decades in Riyadh he had seen many ups and downs and was grateful to the community for its support. He added that he would be taking home lots of memories.

Asif Khan was presented with a flower bouquet, traditional shawl and the memorial plaque in recognition of his remarkable services. YTMG’s Majid proposed the vote of thanks presented.

In another farewell of Asif Khan organized by the All India United Society at Shalimar Banquet hall, President Dr. Mohammed Ashraf Ali welcomed the gathering and Mohammed Rafeeq, vice president, Syed Khalid Kareem, general secretary, Syed Farhan Hussain Bukhary, Soheb Mohiuddin and others spoke on this occasion. A memorial plaque was presented to Asif. The program started with the recitation of verses from the Qur’an by Khaja Aleemuddin and Syed Khalid Kareem proposed vote of thanks. — SG
