RIYADH — SABIC organized an Entertainment Day for some 50 cancer-stricken children from King Abdulaziz Medical City National Guard and King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh recently with a variety of fun-filled programs that help create lasting memories in their minds.

Organized in cooperation with the "Help Achieve their Hope” initiative, the event was attended by Khaled Al-Habardi, SABIC director, corporate affairs and government relations, Salim Al-Baqawi, SABIC acting senior manager, corporate social responsibility, and Ahmad Al-Ghamdi, from SABIC corporate social responsibility, besides parents of the children, representatives from the medical sector, and a number of SABIC employees.

In his opening speech, Al-Habardi said that the event reflects SABIC’s corporate social responsibility strategy that seeks to meet key community needs. SABIC is fully committed to serving the nation and its citizens, he stressed.

SABIC also visited a group of cancer-stricken children at Prince Sultan Medical Military City on May 15, as part of a program to support these children from all nationalities and age groups, in collaboration with volunteers from the “Help Achieve their Hope” initiative.

The medical team accompanying the children thanked SABIC for its support and praised the company’s social responsibility initiatives. They called on all companies to follow the example of SABIC and extend every possible support to society.
