JEDDAH — Ayub Bahjat Zinjani, chairman of Jeddah based Maulana Hifzur Rehman Seharvi Foundation, said the progress of a country depends on girls’ education. He made this statement in an educational function organized by the boys and girls of Junior High School block Kotwali’s village located Rawalhatri, India, under patronage of Dr. Mohammad Daud Multani a famous social worker in India.

While talking to Saudi Gazette on his return, he said large number of prominent figures, including Pargram Pardhan, Alauddin, Zaheer Alam, Huma Nisho, Muhammad Zakir, Kanwar Saif-ul-Hasan, Ghiasuddin, students and their parents attended the function.

Maulana Hifz-ur-Rahman Seharvi Foundation is an institution fostering girls’ education and provider of religious and social services especially during the Holy month of Ramadan and Haj for many years in Jeddah.

The program started with national anthem, and school teacher Ms. Sarika Devi conducted the program. Students presented cultural programs in colorful clothing and received a warm appreciation from the audience.

He expressed his happiness that the Indian government is spending a lot of money on the free education of girls. Now a poor person or family can send their children to Government School from elementary to intermediate level, where education is free.

He said the establishment of such schools allow for eradicating poverty being an obstacle in the way of education. He stressed that parents should send their children to school and pay special attention on girls’ education.

Zinjani said that the beginning of all guidelines in Islam starts only after the completion of education. Which means that the secrets of human welfare activism are on the rise in educational field.

He presented an award to Ms. Sarika Devi and Ms. Swati for giving importance to girls’ education. He said there are several advantages of educating girls, while distributing gifts, which he had brought from KSA, among the students and children.
