DUBAI — The region’s leading e-commerce and retail industry experts are going to converge in Dubai next month for the 2018 Arab E-Commerce Summit. The 1-day summit, which will take place at Hotel Al Bustan Roda in Dubai on May 7, seeks to act as a catalyst to further drive the already booming e-commerce industry in the region by highlighting and finding solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing the industry. The summit shall witness representatives from various segments of the e-commerce industry come together on a common platform and would be an excellent opportunity to listen, learn, network and engage with the who’s who of the industry.

This year’s conference includes a notable lineup of keynote speakers, including: Dr. Ali M. Al Khouri, Arab Economic Unity Council Advisor, Chairman of the Arab Federation of eCommerce; and Executive Director, MOI, UAE; Ulugbek Yuldashev, CEO, Awok.com; Karl Naim, CEO, ChefXChange; Julia Jackle, CEO, Creative971; Sirish Kumar, CEO, Telr;

Sarah Jones, CEO, Sprii; Elie El Tom, CEO, YallaPickUp.

"With e-commerce sales hitting an all time high and the future looking replete with even better opportunities, this is perhaps the most exciting time for the regional e-commerce industry. While the existing players continue to strengthen their offerings, there is still plenty of room for new players to enter the market and grab their share of the pie. This 2018 Arab E-commerce Summit would be an excellent opportunity for everybody associated with the e-commerce industry in the region to listen and learn from the experts and we are very excited to welcome the attendees," said Arora Vaibhav, Chairman of the Arab E-commerce Summit. "The Arab E-Commerce Summit remains the platform where the region discusses e-commerce."

Some of the areas that the 2018 edition of the Summit is going to touch upon include digital payments, e-commerce sourcing, e-commerce delivery mechanisms, enhancing user experience, innovations etc. — SG
