The inspection tour covered state-of-the-art facilities, including those for business and economy class passengers, new first-class service lounge where guests can enjoy premium and innovative services, Alfursan lounges for domestic and international passengers, departure gates, aerobridges, conveyer belts, and other operational facilities and services for passengers.

Al-Jasser said that the new airport will enable Saudia to further improve its facilities and services for Haj and Umrah pilgrims as well as for transit passengers.

“Last year Saudia was able to achieve a growth of 70 percent in the traffic of transit passengers compared to the previous year and we look forward to further growth and to doubling it this year through the new airport.”
