Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming signs MoU with Raytheon

WASHINGTON — On the sidelines of the current visit of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense to the United States of America, the Saudi Cyber Security and Programming Federation on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raytheon Company, a specialist in the field of defense, security and civil technologies and innovation, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The MoU was co-signed by the Federation’s Deputy Chairman, on behalf of the Federation's Chairman of the Board of Directors Saud Bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, and Raytheon's Executive Officer Dr. Thomas Kennedy.

The MoU aims at organizing competitions among universities in cyber defense as well as launching live mathematics programs for programmers and creating industrial partnership opportunities with Saudi specialists.

Following the signing ceremony, Legal Advisor Saud Al-Qahtani, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation, said that this agreement would effectively contribute to promoting the skills of trainees to guarantee building a strong base for spreading cyber security culture and illuminate people about its importance in addition to its contribution to cooperation with universities through holding specialized events, activities and competitions in this field. – SPA
