flydubai resumes flights to Irbil

DUBAI — flydubai has resumed regular flights to the Iraqi city of Irbil where the carrier's flight landed on March 19, 2018 at Erbil International Airport at 16:10 p.m.

Flight FZ203 departed at 14:05 from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport, while FZ204 returned from Irbil International Airport at 17:05 to reach Dubai International Airport at 20:55.

The carrier will begin daily flights from March 25. flydubai serves seven weekly flights to Irbil operating its modern Boeing 737-800 aircraft to provide high-quality services to both business and economy travelers. The carrier offers more travel options between Irbil and Dubai and more than 100 destinations on flydubai network.

flydubai traffic has grown by more than 161 percent since its launch in 2010. The carrier offers passengers flexible options to continue their flights easily to their destinations worldwide or through their partnership with Emirates Airlines through a common code agreement and access to key markets such as China, Korea, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

"The resumption of flydubai flights to Irbil underscores the airline's commitment to providing quality services to passengers between Dubai and Irbil," Hamad Obaidallah chief commercial officer of flydubai, said.

“There is a strong demand for flydubai flights to Irbil, and this demand is constantly driving us to develop travel options for our customers. The expansion of our partnership With Emirates Airlines offering passengers more flights to various destinations,” Hamad added.

"Irbil is one of the key cities in Iraq and is an important commercial and economic center thanks to the diversity of its projects in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, tourism, etc. We are keen to serve this vital destination.

flydubai began its flights to Irbil in July 2010, where flights contributed to flow of trade and tourism between the two countries, especially that Iraq is today one of the largest trading partners of the United Arab Emirates and provided flights flexibility in the movement of trade and tourism, whether business trips or entertainment.

The Iraqi market is a central market for flydubai, where the carrier runs 37 weekly flights to 4 destinations Baghdad, Basra, Najaf and Irbil. The connecting flights across Dubai offer a wide range of passengers from Iraq to a wide network of destinations in Europe, Asia, India and Russia. — SG
