“Energy consumption will increase 50% by 2050 due to urbanization, industrialization, and digitization. There is 82% untapped potential for energy efficiency in building and 50% in industry. IoT, connectivity and software are changing the world. By 2020, we’ll have 30 billion connected things and the number of connected devices will be 10 times the number of connected people,” he said

These destructive trends are impacting on energy efficiency and operation. EcoStruxure 3 layers of innovation delivers collaborative Smart Building IoT platform that is designed to realize the exciting opportunities in front of us. EcoStruxure provides easier connectivity for devices, seamless integration with different systems for different segments, fully IP digital backbone, scalable to any building size and easier connectivity to the cloud so full building operation and control within the fingertips of people smart phones and tablets.

Al- Naim stressed that Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia has decided to promote education about this platform. “It is education and introduction to these solutions that can help the buildings through increasing awareness among different types of consumers of the benefits they can get if they start to save energy. This will be noticed and seen from the first 18 to 24 months after using the system.”
