NLEX defeats Magnolia to tie series at 2-2

MANILA — The NLEX Road Warriors defeated the Magnolia Hotshots, 91-79, in Game 4 of their PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday night.

The victory enabled NLEX to tie the best-of-7 series at 2-2 with Game 5 set on Sunday night.

Kiefer Ravena led the Road Warriors, scoring a team-high 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting, including seven straight points in the fourth quarter that allowed NLEX to pull away.

The rookie sensation also collected five assists, three rebounds, and one steal in 29 minutes off the bench.

JR Quinahan added 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists while Kevin Alas chipped in 13 points, six boards, and five assists. Larry Fonacier contributed 10 points and five rebounds.

The Road Warriors registered a superb 52-percent shooting from the field, including 10-of-26 from beyond the three-point arc.

Ian Sangalang led Magnolia with 15 points and 14 rebounds but committed six turnovers and scored just a point in the fourth quarter. Mark Barroca and Paul Lee were held to just 11 points each.
