RIYADH
— The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has reiterated that the Saudization of jobs in car rental offices all over the Kingdom will start on Sunday.

The ministry's spokesman, Khaled Aba A-Khail, said the jobs to be immediately nationalized include accounts, supervision, sales, delivery and return.

He said the ministry had been providing support to the Saudis through training and rehabilitation, which are vital for the nationalization of jobs.

"We provide the citizens with the computer training programs to qualify them for the labor market," he added.

The spokesman said the ministry was also extending technical and financial support to young Saudi men and women wishing to start their own businesses.

"We organize employment fairs to bring together potential employers and job seekers," he added.

Aba Al-Khail asked the citizens to use the National Employment Gate to look for suitable jobs and said the ministry was closely following up the implementation of its Saudization decisions.

He said car rental offices that employ expatriates in jobs solely dedicated for Saudis would be heavily fined.

"In case the violation was repeated, the fine would be increased," he warned.
