Bringing back classic Sega games on smartphones is a blast from the past for many fans. “Since the Sega Genesis died a long time ago, I never expected to play my favorite old games again”, says Suliman Yasir. “My joy was unbounded when I discovered these Sega games are in the App Store and Google Play. I was extremely happy when I found the variety of Sega games that will take me back to my childhood memories.”

Here are some of the old Sega games available on your mobile phones or tablets:

1- Sonic the Hedgehog Classic 2:

The Sonic game which was released worldwide in 1992 is now brought back to life and available for iOS and Android devices. It is back in your mobile phones and tablets with even perfect features such as competing online against your friends.

“One year after the world saw the birth of an international icon, the fastest thing alive is back at it again with a new round of ways to end the plot of Dr. Robotnik. Sonic finally encounters one who has super speed just like him, but much more smarts (smart) and much less wits (wit) than Sonic. Sonic and Tails subsequently become the best-known alliance in fiction that possibly is more popular than Mario and Luigi. Sonic the Hedgehog 1 was cool, but Sonic the Hedgehog 2 leaves fire in its footsteps. Play the game,” commented MantheMan5 in the Customer Reviews of the App Store.

2- Golden Axe Classic:

The legendary game of Golden Axe which was released in 1989 is now available for iOS and Android devices. It supports playing offline and what is even more exciting is that according to the App Store Preview, the multiplayer experience is also coming soon!

“I love this game when I was a little kid, and all sega (Sega) games were extraordinary and I hop (hope) all that games return again plz (please). lf there’s more than million stars i’ll (I’ll) geve (give) it for this game and all SEGA games,” said ramad in the Customer Reviews of Google Play.

3- Streets of Rage Classic:

“Three cops, a city on the edge, and a crime lord known only as Mr. X – welcome to one of the all-time SEGA greats. Arm yourself with knives, bottles, and drainpipes and battle through eight thug-infested urban environments to bring order to the city. Relentless, explosive, and addictive as hell – Streets of Rage is the grand-daddy of beat-‘em-ups,” as described in the App Store Preview.

The game was originally released in 1991 and today it is back with exciting features such as the local Wi-Fi multiplayer and the leaderboard wherein you compete with the world for high scores.

There are also some other free Sega games available in both the App Store and Google Play including Sonic the Hedgehog Classic, Crazy Taxi Classic, the Revenge of Shinobi Classic, and many more.
