JEDDAH
— Bangladesh is working to send more highly skilled professionals such as doctors and engineers to the Kingdom, in addition to seeking an increase in the placement of skilled and semi-skilled Bangladeshi workers in the country.

Bangladesh Ambassador Golam Moshi, who is on visit to southern parts of the Kingdom, on Tuesday met with Prince Hussam Bin Saud, emir of Al-Baha province and discussed employment opportunities.

The discussions focused on issues of mutual concern, according to a statement issued by the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh.

The ambassador said as one of the largest Muslim countries, Bangladesh enjoys good rapport with Saudi Arabia based on Islamic values, traditions, and mutual respect.

The emir praised the capabilities and hard work of Bangladesh workers living in the region, the statement said.

The embassy also emphasized that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has initiated several reforms to improve the manpower sector and the country was exploring the possibilities of sending more skilled professionals to the Kingdom.
