JEDDAH — China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is Pakistan's big economic development plan. Which has created a lot of investment opportunities in Pakistan and it has the capability to transform the economy of Pakistan said Pir Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development during the 4th Islamic Conference of Labor Ministers which kicked off in Jeddah on Wednesday.

The Federal Minister also congratulated the Saudi Minister on assuming chairmanship of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial labor Conference successfully.

Rashidi said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy traditionally very warm and fraternal relations. He conveyed best wishes of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to the King, and Crown Prince. Ali bin Nasser Al Ghafees thanked the Federal Minister and expressed his resolve for further strengthening the brotherly relations between the two countries.

Rashidi praised the massive economic growth projects like NEOM and King Abdullah city initiated by Saudi Arabia and appreciated the far-sightedness of the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman who presented Vision 2030, a strategic economic growth program of Saudi Arabia.

The Minister said that around 2.34 million Pakistani expatriates are living in the Kingdom, and expressed hope that the bondage between the two countries will increase by the constructive role played by them in development of the kingdom. The Minister told that the 4000 Vocational Training institutions in Pakistan are producing 400,000 skilled workers in different fields and they can fill in the growing skilled labor demand due to the economic activity in Kingdom. The Minister expressed hope that the agreement of domestic workers between the two countries will be finalized soon. The Federal Minister also extended invitation to the Saudi Minister to visit Pakistan.

Meanwhil,e Pir Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi also called on the OIC secretary general doctor Yousaf Al-Uthaimeen at his office. Both the leaders discussed matters relating to bilateral interest. Rashidi appreciated the role of OIC and the secretary general in supporting the cause of Kashmir.
