AIUS conducts fire marshals training in Jeddah, Majmaah

RIYADH
— In continuation of their series of awareness programs, All India United Society (AIUS) conducted “Fire Marshals Training“ in Jeddah and Majmaah as part of their effort to mark the 69th Republic Day celebration of India.

AIUS had earlier conducted similar training programs at IISR, IIPSR, Success International School, Yasmeen International School, and Al Yara International School in Riyadh.

At the International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) (boys and girls), Managing Committee Chairman Asif Daudi, MC member Taher Ali, Principal Syed Masood Ahmed, staff and students participated in the training. Akram, administrator, made adequate arrangements and every one appreciated the AIUS efforts and keen participation by the school and students.

AIUS Vice President-Education Engr. Mohammed Azizuddin was the presenter and the coach of the day. A senior mechanical engineer working in Riyadh since 1992, he presented information on fire and safety measures to students.

In his Power Point presentation he highlighted escape plans and how to maintain a log book for Fire Fighting Maintenance System.

He prepared a practical demo for the Fire Marshals with safety jackets. He also explained the responsibilities of the school management and the staff appointed for the safety.

After the presentation and training newly trained Fire Marshals demonstrated how to evacuate the place by making a line, and following the instructions of the teachers. Azizuddin also demonstrated the practical usage of the fire extinguisher to the principal, students and staff, and in another demo showed how to put off fire following Gas Cylinder leakages.

On behalf of school management honored and presented a plaque of appreciation to Engr. Mohammed Azizuddin. The national anthem of Saudi Arabia and India.

Another training was held at International Indian School Majmaah (IISM) with IISM Chairman Dr. Mohammed Naseeruddin in attendance.

Abdul Aziz Al Nasir Bargesh, Officer Civil Defense of Majmaah, was the chief guest. Bargesh, while lauding the services of AIUS and Azizuddin, said, “Safety is important in any means, and everyone should know how to save their lives while also being able to assist in saving others.”

The program started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Talha Jan. Bouquets were presented to welcome the chief guest and the coach of fire marshals training. Abdus Salam, administrator-IISM, gave the Introductory speech.

S.M. Shaukat Hayat, principal-IISM, gave welcome address. He, while appreciating AIUS’s community services, called the training an orientation for the students and staff and a perfect practical idea to prepare them as ‘Fire Marshals’. He thanked Azizuddin for taking time out for the training.

Azizuddin, during training, said, students may become engineers, doctors, leaders in the future, but they also need to be aware of safety required in their lives. He gave Power Point presentation highlighting the need for awareness of safety, while stressing that “Service to mankind is service to God”.

Azizuddin said that prevention is the key to any effective emergency response, and one should know how to rescue any one immediate from any incidence.

A memento was presented to Azizuddin for his services by the chief guest and Dr. Ahmed Nawas, MC member of IISM. The program was anchored by Nasir Mahmood. Participation certificates were given to the IISm staff.

The Principal – IISM Hayat proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked the “All India United Society” on behalf of school and appreciated the presentation and the Fire Marshal’s act presented by Azizuddin,

The day rounded off with the national anthems of Saudi Arabia and India.
