February 09, 2018

The pavilion of India, the guest of honor country, is drawing thousands of visitors, including Saudis and expatriates, at the 32nd National Festival for Heritage and Culture at the Janadriya village near Riyadh. The rare photographs of historical visits of top leaders of both countries from King Saud to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, as well as India’s former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a major attraction of the exhibits showcased at the festival. King Salman’s words highlighting the strong bilateral bonds were another highlight. The King opened the pavilion on Wednesday in the presence of India’s Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and other senior officials. Several cultural programs, including classical and folk dances are being staged at the theater in the pavilion. — SPA
