Batting first, Hyderabad Sharks batting woes continued as they lost wickets early, although Saddam (47) and Shehzaad (39) steadied the innings and later Sada (37) chipped in with some late order hitting. Hyderabad Sharks were bundled out for 175.

In reply, BBB batting duo of Amer Wahla and Amer Siddiqui sent the Shark bowlers on a leather hunt as they went on the offensive from the start, aided by some ordinary fielding as crucial catches were dropped. Wahla slammed a superb 70 off 40 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes, while Siddiqui played an equally ferocious knock of 64 off 33 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes — both being dismissed when well set.
