Ramallah — Israeli troops on Tuesday arrested 30 Palestinians in various West Bank cities, according to a Palestinian source.
The arrest campaign came after a night of intensive attacks carried out by Israeli extremist settlers against Palestinian citizens, especially in the southern part of Nablus city.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Society said in a statement that Israeli soldiers stormed the cities of Jenin, Nablus, Qalqilya, Salfit, Ramallah, El-Beira, Bethlehem and Hebron and arrested 30 citizens, under the pretext they were wanted by Israeli authorities.
Dozens of Palestinian citizens were wounded and suffered suffocation in clashes with Israeli forces in Yamoun, west of the West Bank city of Jenin.
According to a statement by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), the Israeli troops Tuesday dawn stormed the town and deployed dozens of military vehicles and started searching for the youth.
Violent clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers, who used live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters, leaving dozens of citizens injured and suffocated. — Agencies
