JEDDAH — Syed Afroz of Pepsi Deccan Knights slammed an unbeaten 203 to reach the highest individual effort in SPL while also enabling the Knights to post a record SPL total of 337 for 2 and win by 208 runs against Pak Shaheen in the 11th week league matches of CIT SPL T20 3rd Edition.

Elsewhere BBB, ARM United and Malik XI Star One won comfortably against their opponents while Hyderabad Sharks got a walkover from Naseem Al Zahra to align the playoff contests. At the end of the league stage Hyderabad Sharks topped the table with 22 points, Pepsi Deccan Knights 20 points, BBB 18 points and ICAD 14 points. The playoff matches will be as follows: Qualifier 1 Hyderabad Sharks vs Pepsi Deccan Knights and Eliminator BBB vs ICAD.

Syed Afroz’s superb unbeaten 203, off 72 balls studded with 29 fours and 10 sixes, and his 214 runs partnership for 2nd wicket with Mazhar 77 (36 balls, 15 4s, 1 6s) enabled Pepsi Deccan Knights post SPL’s highest total of 337 for 2 against Pak Shaheen to win by 208 runs, highest margin of victory in SPL.

BBB mauled KAIA by 113 runs, piling on 288 for 5, riding on Khawar Sohail’s thrilling 123 (47 balls, 11 fours, 10 sixes) and Rana’s all round show of 57 runs and 4 for 41.

ARM outclassed ICAD by 20 runs thanks to Farhan, who chipped in with 5 for 33, and good knocks by Quraishi (67) and Shakir (63). Malik XI Star One won by 5 wickets against Ace Travel with all round performance of trio Shahzad (20 and 2 for 22), Madani (22 and 2 for 13) and Kaleem (20 and 2 for 29).
