The captain of a cargo train, which was on its way to Dammam from Riyadh, was injured on Saturday when a bridge under construction collapsed on it. The accident took place at Kilo 37 where a cement beam from the bridge fell on the train’s locomotive. The Saudi Railways Organization said the railway line was shut down to remove the cement block and save the captain, who sustained mild injuries and was treated at the spot by paramedics. — Okaz photo
