Ace, PDK, SGH, Malik XI, Hyderabad Sharks triumph

JEDDAH — Ace Travel, Hyderabad Sharks, Malik XI Star 1, Pepsi Deccan Knights (PDK) and Saudi German Hospital (SGH) triumphed against their respective opponents in the 6th week matches of the ongoing CIT SPL T20, which is sponsored by Canadian International Trading Company (CIT) and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).

Ace Travel made light work of ARM United, winning by 50 runs with Husnain scoring an elegant 58 off 28 balls, inclusive of 7 fours and 4 sixes and picked up 3 for 21 in an inspired performance despite Sami Khan’s hat trick (4 for 33).

Malik XI Star 1 had a narrow win by 10 runs over KAIA with Madani scoring a pugnacious 96 from 46 balls, studded with 9 fours and 4 sixes.

Pepsi Deccan Knights raced to a 44-run win over Igloo Kashmir Stags with Bilal Mughal’s stylish knock of 74 (37 balls, 10 fours, 1 six) and an inspired spell of 2 for 33.

Taqi Ur Rahman’s fine all-round show with a brilliant 101 in 53 balls with 17 fours and a six and fine spell of 2 for 18 saw Saudi German Hospital inflict a 95-run defeat on bottom of the table Pak Shaheen.

Hyderabad Sharks overcame early shocks at 45 for 3 chasing 176 but skipper Syed Arif Hashmy played a cameo knock to give his team an exciting narrow win by 3 wickets over ICAD.
