Riyadh — The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has taken several precautionary measures to prevent bird flu and detect the disease early in case it has entered the Kingdom.

This is in the wake of the discovery of bird flu type H5N8 in migratory birds in Asia and Europe during the past few months.

The measures taken by the ministry include collecting samples and test them to ensure they are disease-free, and prepare an emergency plan, among others.
