RIYADH – The meeting of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, with the senior Yemeni political leaders shows the keenness of the Saudi government in closing ranks of the Yemeni political parties while working toward the restoration of legitimacy in the neighboring country.

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, met with Col. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Yidoumi, president of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party and Abdul Wahab Ahmad Al-Anisi, secretary general of the party in Riyadh on Wednesday.

The meeting reflected the Kingdom’s endeavors to achieve security and stability for the Yemeni people as well as its keenness on the unity of Yemen. The Kingdom facilitates gathering of the leaders of all Yemeni parties and factions to unite under one goal of restoring the unity and sovereignty of their homeland, in addition to consolidating national unity, and supporting efforts to confront the Houthi militias and end Iranian interference in Yemen.

It is obvious that the Yemeni notables and tribal leaders do not accept a substitute for the Arabism of Yemen. They see that the Houthi terrorist militias are simply an instrument in the hands of Iran and do not represent the Yemeni people or belong to its Arabism.

The Riyadh meeting highlighted the importance of rebuilding the Yemeni home from within, especially after the killing of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, to eliminate Houthi terrorist militias altogether as well as to establish all Yemeni political components with a single goal of confronting these militias. It was evident that the support of all Yemeni parties and factions for Saudi-UAE efforts would accelerate the process of purging Yemen of Iranian terrorist militias. The Yemeni society, with all its factions, is united against treacherous and deceitful militias.

The leaders also emphasized the need to mobilize and unite the efforts of the Yemeni parties and people to confront the main enemy of the Yemeni people and to end the abduction of Yemen by the Iranian regime and the Houthi militias. It is imperative for the Yemenis to renounce division and disagreement among themselves and unite against the Iranian enemy, which is seeking to divide Yemen and spread division among the Arab-Yemeni people.

The Kingdom’s efforts are also aimed at protecting the Yemeni people from oppression, bloodshed and destruction caused by Houthi militias with full support of the Iranian regime.

Saudi Arabia also extends its aid and assistance to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people who are facing miseries in the health, environmental and economic fields caused by Houthis.
