La Cantine du Faubourg is one of the hottest dining destinations in Dubai. Originally located at N°105 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, it has found its new home at Emirates Towers overlooking Dubai’s Financial District in the UAE. La Cantine du Faubourg are able to curate and execute their vision with the help of stellar and expert executive chef Gilles Bosquet, who previously worked with the likes of Gorden Ramsay and in other Michelin star restaurants. “I welcome everyone to try something different. You may not be familiar with it but I say be open to it,” Chef Bosquet told Saudi Gazette as he introduced guests to unexplored gastronomy. The simple layout relies on minimalism and an open space that is divided into low seating dining area, a behind-the-curtain table or ‘table d’hôtes’ for those who want privacy, and a garden terrace. You can also grab a quick bite perched on tall stools at the drinks counter. “We reduced our materials to wood, stone and marble. Very simple, honest materials that would not distract from the ever-changing art within the space. Sometimes simplicity is a very hard design process, but done well, it can achieve the outstanding results that we believe we have achieved here,” James Michael Lees, the head designer said.
The restaurant’s concept primarily relies on aesthetics that revolve around sound, visuals, art and of course taste.
The transition from day to night flows smoothly with the sounds of chic Parisian and Arabic beats.
