JET Airways, India’s full service, premier international airline, successfully commenced operations of its two new flights - including its new service connecting the capital cities of Saudi Arabia and India, effective Oct. 29, 2017. The new twin services also comprise a second daily frequency between Riyadh and Mumbai, complementing its existing daily operation.

Jet Airways’ new service to Delhi – flight 9W 509 departed from Riyadh with a full complement of guests at 03:10 hrs (LT) to arrive in Delhi at 09:45 hrs (LT), offering guests the choice of not only connecting to other domestic cities via the airline’s 44 city pan-India network, but to also fly onwards to international destinations such as Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Hong Kong, Kathmandu and Singapore via Jet Airways’ hubs in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The return flight, Jet Airways’ 9W 510 departed from Delhi at 23:00 hrs (local time) and arrived in Riyadh at 01:35 hrs (local time).

The same day, Jet Airways’ second frequency to Mumbai - 9W 505 also departed from Riyadh at 06:10 hrs (Local Time), arriving in Mumbai at 12:30 hrs (LT). On its return, Jet Airways 9W 506 departed for Riyadh at 03:00 hrs (LT) to arrive at its destination at 05:05 hrs (LT), allowing guests travelling to Riyadh the opportunity to travel across Saudi Arabia and beyond, using Jet Airways’ robust network of interline partners comprising Saudi Arabian Airlines and Flynas.

Shakir Kantawala, Vice President - Gulf, Middle East & Africa, Jet Airways, said “Saudi Arabia is India’s 4th largest trading partner and demand for quality air travel between the two countries is rapidly evolving on the back of growing economic, trade and tourism activity. As the preferred airline on the Indo-Gulf sector, Jet Airways is well placed to capitalize on this growth and pleased to offer greater connectivity and choice its guests via its new service and additional frequency to Delhi and Mumbai respectively.”

To commemorate the launch of the new services, the airline organized a special and elaborate pre-launch ceremony at Makarem Riyadh Hotel last Oct. 28, which was graced by Shri. Ahmad Javed, Ambassador of India to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, together with a host of dignitaries from General Authorities of Civil Aviation (GACA), Riyadh Airport Co as well as key travel trade partners.
