Country’s rich history continues to inspire future generations

August 14, 2017

ON this auspicious occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, I would like to extend my sincere wishes to all the Pakistani fraternity living in Saudi Arabia. I would also like to convey my earnest prayers for success in their future endeavors.

This day is a powerful reminder of the heroic struggle undertaken by the Muslims of the Sub-continent under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for a separate homeland where they could live their lives with freedom and dignity.

Our country’s rich history continues to inspire our future generations that with glaring devotion and dedication, every daunting task for the prosperity of the country and the nation is possible. It is my firm belief that with honesty of purpose and single-minded devotion to the national cause we are bound to succeed in our mission of elevating Pakistan to its rightful place in the comity of nations.

The economy of Pakistan has shown an upward trend in the recent past. The economic growth has accelerated, per capita income increased, foreign exchange reserves enhanced, inflation dropped to single digit and stock market showing positive trend. A number of development and economic projects have been commenced. Pakistan is becoming an attractive destination for trade and investment.

Pakistan wants peaceful and swift solution to all the regional issues that in essence, hinder prosperity of our region. Pakistan is against terrorism, arms race, nuclear proliferation or escalation of unjustified tension in the world. It is in this order that we want to resolve all neighbourly issues through peaceful negotiations.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share common political, strategic and economic objectives. The relationship between the two countries is unique and deep rooted in history. The presence of over 2.6 million Pakistanis in the Kingdom is a source of strength for the friendship between the two countries.

They are contributing towards the economic development of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. They are a bridge of friendship between the two brotherly countries. Pakistan also fully supports the Vision 2030 of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, and hopes that Pakistan would be able to harbor effective and valuable partnership with Saudi government for realization of its goals envisioned in Vision 2030.

Today, let us pledge to enhance our efforts to further enrich the existing time tested relationship between Pakistan and brotherly Saudi Arabia. Let us pray for the security and prosperity of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
