Riyaz and Ali blast tons in Garameesh cricket

JEDDAH — Waseem Riyaz of Aftab CC hammered unbeaten 102 and Zahid Ali of Timex Lothers belted 100, while Zultec, Crown Steel, IDB Group and AOT triumphed in their respective encounters in the WPCA Garameesh Rusk Super League sponsored by Garameesh Rusk and organized by WPCA. The co-sponsors are Crown Steel, SCC, Advisor 360, Zultrack, Cool & Cool, Emper Perfumes, Nesma Holding and Lays.

Timex Lothers crushed Al-Safri by 137 runs. Timex Lothers tallied 233 for 6. Top order slumped as Moazzam Shoukat made just 19 and Bilal 28. Zahid Ali then blasted 100 in 48 balls with 6 sixes and 8 fours. He added 106 in 44 balls for the fifth wicket with Samiullah (42). Asad Shah took 2-21, Abid Malik 2-30, Wasiq Sherwani and Manjeet Kumar took one apiece. Al-Safri crashed to 96 with only Muneeb Anwer (17), Awer (15) and Saeed Ahmed (16) making some runs. Abdulwaheed was the chief wrecker 4-17. M. Makki took 2-10, Rafaqat 2-34, while Yasir and Samiullah got one wicket each. Man of the Match: Zahid Ali.

Crown Steel thumped Waqas Malik CC by 8 wickets. Waqas Malik was bowled out for 138. Danish top scored with 42. Imran took 3-20, Amjad Jutt 2-27, while a scalp each went to Asif, Junaid, Jawed, Shoaib Ali and Ijaz Sagheer. Crown Steel achieved 139 for 2 in 78 balls. Khurram Karamat hammered 76 in 35 balls with 5 sixes and 8 fours. He added 103 for the first wicket in 57 balls with Imran Azam (26). Javed Iqbal remained unbeaten on 23. Waqas Malik and Tariq took one wicket each. Man of the Match: Khurram Karamat.

IDB Group trounced Reel & Rom Spikes by 57 runs. IDB Group piled up 195 for 5. Irfan Shah hammered an unbeaten 82 with 6 fours and a six as he added 49 with Samer (22). Earlier, Usman Gulab stroked 37 to add 66 with Hashim Khan (20). Shahzad took 2-30, while Mustafa and Atif got one wicket each. Reel & Rom Spikes was stranded at 138 for 9. Shahzad scored 25, Imran 22 and Fahad 24. Samer scalped 3-14, Abdullah Shah 2-19, while Ibrahim Mirza, Irfan Shah and Abdullah took one wicket each. Man of the Match: Irfan Shah.

AOT thrashed APF by 94 runs. AOT amassed 237 for 6. Ilyas scored 37. Moiz smashed 82 in 34 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Maqsood remained unbeaten on 48 and Aqeel made 43. Adnan took 3-40, while Hasnain Ali, Wasiq and Majed claimed a scalp each. APF was restricted to 143. Ali Ansar hit 39 to add 61 with Majed (49). Rameez was the chief destroyer with 4-13, Moiz took 2-35, while Naeem Shah, Aqeel and Ilyas got 1 each. Man of the Match: Moiz.

Aftab CC prevailed over Zultrack by 6 wickets. Zultrack produced 174 for 6. Kashif hammered 67 in 44 balls to add 59 with Mohsin (29) and then 58 with Subaiyyal (16). Yasir stroked 17. Waqas took 2-40, a wicket each went to Farhan, Aftab and Shahid Imran. Aftab CC reached 175 for 4 in 99 balls. Waseem Riyaz blasted an unbeaten 102 in 43 balls studded with 8 fours and 8 sixes as he stitched a match-winning 99 in 56 balls for the unbroken fifth wicket with Malik Amjad (15). Earlier it was reduced to 76 for 4 as Shahid Sattar made 19 and Waqas Riyaz 24. Qaim Ali claimed 2-22 and Yasir 2-46. Man of the Match: Waseem Riyaz.

Zultec got the better of Al-Kabbani Cricket Group by 7 wickets. Al-Kabbani Cricket Group managed 191 for 9. Anwer Ali belted 71 in 30 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes. Imran Qaiser hit 26 to add 57 with Faisal Qayyum (32). Asad Ali Khan contributed 17. Shahbaz Rasheed took 2-25, Wajahat Shah 2-51, while Zeeshan, Abu Huraira and Umair got 1 each. Zultec was home with 194 for 3 in 108 balls. Amir Sajjad slammed 89 in 47 balls with 7 sixes and 4 fours as he first added 103 in 46 balls for the opening stand with Waqar (33) and then 73 with Shahbaz Rasheed who remained unbeaten on 55 off 39 balls.
