Shahbaz hits century, Aftab posts hat trick

JEDDAH — Shahbaz Rasheed of Zultec excelled against Timex Lothers with a century, Aftab Malik of Al-Safri destroyed Emper Perfumes with 6 for 15 with a hat trick after Rehan heroics, while Nesma holding, Aftab, ALS Warriors, Red Sea ALJ and Al-Kabbani emerged winners in the WPCA Garameesh Rusk Super League sponsored by Garameesh Rusk and managed by WPCA.

Al-Kabbani Cricket Group defeated MCC by 4 wickets. MCC posted 186 for 5. Aijaz top scored with 50 in 33 balls as Khawar Sohail hit 34, Naeem 21 and Ahsan an unbeaten 34. Luqman Ulfat took 2-34, while Imran Qaiser, Anwer and Asad gor one wicket each.

Al-Kabbani reached 187 for 6 in 118 balls. Nasir smashed 50 in 35 balls, Luqman Ulfat an unbeaten 25, Imran Qaiser 24 and Anwar 28. Khawar Sohail took 2-29 and a scalp each went to Mehfooz, Ijaz, Ahsan Mehboob and Imran. Man of the match: Naseer.

Al-Safri won by 58 runs against Emper Perfumes. Al-Safri piled up 176 for 7, thanks to Rehan’s 92 in 50 balls studded with 8 sixes and 6 fours as he added 88 with Saeed Ahmed (26). Waseeq Sherwani scored 17. Rabih took 3 for 31, Mehboob Shabbir 2-26, while Aamer and Imtiyaz took one wicket each.

Emper Perfumes was bundled out for 118. Aftab Malik was the chief destroyer with 6 for 15 along with a hat trick. Basharat stroked 30 and Boby 21. Waseeq took 2- 23, while Abid Malik and Manjeet Kumar claime one apiece wicket each. Rehan accounted for 5 victims behind the wickets. Man of the Match: Rehan.

Zultec prevailed over Timex Lothers by 5 wickets. Timex Lothers produced 178 for 8. Bilal made 54 in 41 balls as he added 73 with Waqas Ali (44). Abdu Huraira was the pick of the bowlers with 5-32, while Shahbaz Rasheed, Umair Khan and Zeeshan got one wicket each.

Zultec achieved 181 for 5 in 105 balls. Amir Sajjad scored 32 as he added a match-winning 96 in 54 balls with centurion Shahbaz Rasheed hammering unbeaten 103 in 55 balls with 15 fours and 3 sixes. Zahad took 2-18, while Sammy and Ali took one wicket each. Man of the Match: Shahbaz Rasheed.

Red Sea ALJ crushed APF by 68 runs. Red Sea ALJ racked up 209 for 9. Basheer slammed 76 in 36 balls with 5 sixes and 6 fours as he added 93 with Zeeshan (39). Bilal made 25. Khurram took 3 for 38, Hasnain 2-39, while a scalp each went to Adnan, Nadeem Shah and Majed.

APF was stranded at 141 for 7. After a poor start Adnan remained unbeaten on 35 as he added 67 with Sohail (42). Maqsood scalped 2-40, Irfan 2-17, Tanveer Zamane 2-23 and Bilal 1. Man of the Match: Basheer Kayani.

Aftab CC had the better of Reel & Rom Spiked by 58 runs. Aftab mustered up 203 for 8. Shahid Sattar hammered 53 in 22 balls and added 66 with Waqas Riyaz (21). Aftab Riyaz with a timely 43 added 76 with Danish Hanif (15) to get to a competitive score. Shahzad grabbed 4 for 15, one wicket each went to Abdulraheem, Ali and Fahad.

Reel & Rom Spiked was restricted to 145 for 6. Wajid made 47, Ilyas 39 and Imran Amin 28 not out. Waqas took 2-14, Sherry 2-32 and Farhan 1. Man of the Match: Shahid Sattar.

Nesma Holding had the last laugh against Zultrack by 5 runs. Nesma holding amassed 207 for 2. Furqan Ahmed smashed 94 in 56 balls with 3 sixes and 10 fours as he first added 139 for the 2nd wicket with Tasleem (41) and then 55 with Saleem Mehar (36). M. Mukhtar and Waqas shared the wickets.

Zultrack batted well but fell short of 5 runs. Mohsin hit 61 in 31 balls and added 87 with Kashif (40). Umar Mukhtar stroked 34, Yasir 21 and Aijaz Khan 16. Saeedullah took 3 for 28, Saleem Mehar 3 for 36 and Zafar 2-37. Man of the Match: Furqan Ahmed.

ALS Warriors beat IDB Group by 52 runs. ALS Warriors piled up 181 for 8. Humaiyun Khan scored 41 and added first 68 with Emaduddin (31) and then 65 with Gulam Mustafa (41). Abdullah Essa compiled 23 and Fahim an unbeaten 21. Samer took 2-19, Fayaz 2-25, Abdullah Shah 2-24, while Abdullah and Kashif took one wicket each.

IDB Group was stranded at 129 for 7. Usman Gulab hammered 65 with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Abdulaleem took 4-32, while Faheem, Safiuddin and Saim got a scalp each. Man of the Match: Abdulaleem.
